Our Transplant House service is a life-saver for families like Kylee and Max.

All of Australia’s kidney transplant hospitals are located in our major cities. But people who live far outside those cities cannot always afford accommodation during the long and intensive recovery period that follows a transplant.

That’s why we established four Transplant Houses close to Australia’s main kidney transplant centres. They provide free accommodation to people who live 100 kilometres or more away from their transplant hospital.

We cannot afford to run this critically important service without support from good people like you. We need your help to give people like Max a place to stay during their transplant recovery. Please will you help?

We don’t believe in a world where a little boy like Max could miss out on the chance of life for the sake of a place to stay.

If you feel the same, please make a generous online donation now.

"Without the Transplant House, it would have been impossible for me to give my kidney to Max. We simply wouldn’t have been able to do it. It was a real life-saver.” —Kylee, Max's mum.

"The Transplant House was a really nice, bright, open unit. It's really amazing. A home I felt safe in while we were away from our own home. A place where we were still able to be a family."
—Kylee, Max's mum.

“This is nothing fancy. It's nothing out of the ordinary. It's just trying to give people from regional areas of Australia the same level of access to service and comfort that we all take for granted living in the city.” —Dr Marie Ludlow, General Manager of Clinical Programs
